Thanks to an anonymous tipster we received several screenshots of Microsoft’s upcoming Messenger client due in 2010.The Messenger window that contains your contacts has received a bit of a facelift. On the left hand side of this window, there is a “social stream” that retrieves updates provided by Windows Live. The “social stream” consists of updates from Messenger contacts, showcasing Twitter/Facebook updates, status updates, and new blog posts from them
At last, tabbed browsing has been implemented in Messenger 2010 as you can see above. This is a feature that the community has wanted for years now, and it has finally made the rounds. Although, the IE8 tab design does look rather out of place in the Messenger UI.
