What is Google Panda Effects?
Google launched a substantial algorithm change (known as “Farmer” or “Panda”) aimed at identifying low-quality pages and sites. These are pages (often seen on so-called “content farms”) with text that is relevant for a query, but may not provide the best user experience. (Google calls it a “high quality sites algorithm”.)
You should understand what kind of website Google panda is going to affect,
- Website with low quality
- Website which works as content farm
- Website with useless pages indexed in Google
- Website with not proper structure
- Duplicate content
- High bounce rate
How to Recover from Google Panda Effect:
1. Do not copy content
Again the same age old tip of not copying content. But this time you have one more reason to not do this. The reason is that after the panda update by Google, it has been observed that sites with copied article getting ranked higher than the actual site with that content (although the authenticity of this point is still being debated, as Google claimed that “Panda” update will discard all copied content from search results, but what is being seen is totally opposite!!!), so it has created an awareness among webmasters about their content being copied, and so they are all the more vigilant now, and strictly responding to copied content by complaining to Google.
If you are copying articles from other sites, then there are more chances now, that the site owner may complain about your site to Google. So just stop copying.
2. Act against plagiarism
It is very very unfortunate that many quality content websites have become victim of negative panda effect due to plagiarism. After Panda update many content stealers have acquired better ranking than many original content websites. So warn content stealers strictly to stop plagiarism.
3.Remove Low quality content:
Google is taking low quality content very seriously and therefore you should start working on your old low quality posts and convert them into high quality article. At least work on SEO details and length of the article. This will also help you in internal linking your old posts with new one. Even if you not hit by Panda effect, you should do it to make your blog look better and give more quality to your readers.
4.External links
If you are one of those who are selling paid links or doing paid reviews about any thing, you should stop doing it.
5.Learn SEO
And Final thing if you are professional blogger, you should at least know the basic things of SEO.Once you know basics of SEO, you can be ready for any algorithm changes and tweak your website to meet new changes.
If you are affected with Panda algorithm and trying to recover, follow all the above steps and it might take some time before Google will recrawl and reindex your website and once it does it, you might be lucky to get back your lost traffic.
