Today, Sony Ericsson unveils the new ‘Xperia Arc S’ ,will hit retail shelves globally in Q4 2011.The Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S comes with a faster processor and more entertainment options than its predecessor.
The smartphone has an 8.1-megapixel camera with an Exmor R image sensor and 2D and 3D sweep panorama technology. Other notable features of the Xperia Arc S are a 4.2-inch, 854×480-pixel Reality Display, Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread, HDMI out, and a preloaded 8GB microSD card.
The following are some of the highlights of the phone –
- 4.2-inch Capacitive Touchscreen with a 480 x 854 pixel resolution
- 3G, EDGE/GPRS, Wi-Fi
- GPS with A-GPS support
- Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP, USB 2.0
- 8.1 Megapixel autofocus camera with LED flash, 720p video recording
- Stereo FM radio with RDS
- Memory expandable up to 32GB via microSD card
- 3.5 mm hands free socket
The quad-band GSM handset is expected to ship to select markets worldwide in the fourth quarter, but pricing was not announced at this time.
