Finally, Google unveiled their next version of Android OS called ‘Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich’. Android 4.0 will be available to the end-users in early November with Google Nexus.Ice cream sandwich has the good enough features and enhancements.

Features of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich :
- Android Beam:This is an NFC-based information sharing system. This will work with a range of apps and services like YouTube videos, Maps, Contacts, Webpages or links to apps in the Marketplace.
- Camera:The new revamped camera is a lot faster in snapping pictures and shots can be taken almost immediately due to zero shutter lag. The gallery app now lets you crop and edit the picture as well. Moreover, you can sort the images based on location and by person (if you’ve tagged them). You can even access the gallery directly from the lock screen. In the video department, we have full 1080p recording, continuous autofocus, zoom while recording and create time-lapse videos from your phone.
- ‘Roboto Font’:The new ‘Roboto’ font which will be common for tablets as well as mobile phones.
- Face Unlock: This is the big feature from Google,lets you unlock your phone using your face.
- Ability to kill apps running in the background
- Swipe left or right for switching Gmail conversations
- Folder now feature drag-and-drop style just like iOS
- Customizable launcher
- Virtual buttons in the UI instead of capacitive ones
- Improved error correction on the keyboard
- Improved voice integration
- Web browser now supports up to 16 tabs
- Built-in photo editor
- New gallery layout
- Pinch-to-zoom functionality in the calendar
- New visual voicemail functionality let’s you speed up or slow down messages
