Today Facebook’s Messenger client was first released officially. This facebook app only supports Windows 7 although in near future it will support other versions.

- Chat while you do other stuff
- Get Notifications Instantly of you friend request, a comment or a new friend approval or if they have been tagged in a photo
How do I install the Messenger desktop app?
If you have Windows 7, you can set up the app by clicking the Install button on the Messenger for Windows page.
Note: There’s no support for voice or video chat in this app currently
